Default Strano Spring question

I'm getting ready to install my springs. Should I leave the rear isolaters in or do the hose mod

i did the hose mod and it worked perfect and looks perfect,,,
its so easy to drop the rear springs just go ahead and try it both ways and pick the one ur happy with looks wise,,,
i will say there is a right and wrong way to hose mod though ive seen some ugly pics

Just leave them in. I did a friends car and he left them on, his stance looks sick!

Leave them in, First hand exp! But Im on lazy QA1s. I dont have enough travel for my shocks and its not a good ride. I was pretty much sitting on my rear bumpstops.

think it depends alot on the springs you use,,,my stranos left me a little too high in the rear for my taste,,which would be fine if thats the look your trying to achieve,,so while my stranos left me a little high in the rear my buddys bmr 's left him lower in the back than front for some reason so of course hose mod was not for him

Other than they are spring ISOLATORS? Take them out and you cut your working travel a bit (by lowering a bit more), but also you can transmit more noise and vibration (which may or may not be objectionable).

ALL springs are designed to use the isolators. If you choose not to, that's your call.

thanks Sam,,thats a little of the substance i was looking for behind the "leave them in " statement,,definatly makes sense as i knew it would coming from you,,,
guess maybe i shoulda also said in my post earlier is that i definatly did the hose mod strickly for looks,, and im in no way suggesting that Sam's springs require this hose mod to be done....
i simply desired the rear to go a tad lower after i installed the springs and learned of the hose mod on this site (although right now i feel as though im the only one whos done it)so i tried it,,was simply to do ,,hose fit really tight,,sat the car down and it looked perfect for me. i havent had any problems or i should say noticed any problems since,,
hey Sam how bout a 1.2-1.4 set?? for us "looks" guys

The springs are the springs, there won't be an lower spring sets coming from me. If you want it lower (and clearly you did), you can do the isolator mod. I won't make "looks" set of springs, there are plenty of those and if looks are the primary factor, that's not really my bag....
