Default Help me plant this sucker..

Ok, so basically I used my car as a DD to/from work. I wanted it to look good, and handle good. I had no real interest in anything crazy because it was my main form of transportation.. until now!

Me and a buddy have a little war going on..
He has a fox body, h/c/i car w/bottle 150 shot & 38" slicks.
That thing leaves w/out spinning like it was shot out of a cannon..

I recently purchased a nitrous kit and plan to put it on soon.
Will also have it re-tuned.

Here's my current setup;

'00 Trans-Am
M6 6spd
SLP lid
Kooks LT's & OR/Y
Borla catback
EGR delete
SLP 1.85 rockers
SLP valve springs
Ported TB
Ported MAF
Mail-order tune
18x9.5's wrapped in 275/35 nitto's (not the R drag radials)
10 bolt rear w/3:73's / moser axles / eaton posi

Suspension;

Currently I have these BMR products;
LCA's non-adjustable
Chrome-moly adjustable PHB
Front & rear sway bars & bushings
Chrome-moly non-adjustable tubular LCA's
-
My non-BMR parts are;
Hotchkis lowering springs
Tokico "blues" front & rear

-

Now I know I am going to need tires..
I am looking at 15x10 Weld Stars & a set of Hoosier slicks.

And yes, I know the 10 bolt will prob detonate but I will deal w/that when it happens.

What suspension-wise do I need to get this sucker to launch?
I can change some stuff out, that's not a big deal. A friend of mine is wanting my springs/shocks anyhow..

Would adjustable LCA's be a good idea?

Any ideas or setups you are currently running would be appreciated.
Im trying to get this thing done before the weather breaks.

a different set of shocks and springs would probably help out quit a bit too. Don't know how those tokico's are setup but the hotchkis springs probably won't allow a whole lot of weight transfer.

Torque arm, adjustable LCA's and relocation brackets, and a good set of double adjustable shocks for the rear (strange or afco) would get you in the right path. Give me a call at the shop. I'll be able to get you all of these parts and prices for everything. 225-673-3533

As the others have stated new lower control arms are a must along withe relocation brackets to adjust your weight transfer. Upgrading your torque arm will help transmit the power. Your factory torque arm is made from stamped steel and flexs under heavy loads. You need to also consider a torque arm relocation bracket to save your transmission tailshaft from breaking. Shocks are the next item to consider. At this time the strange shocks are the best bang for the buck. With the addition of these parts you should be able to get the results that your looking for. Call me if you have any question.
