Unhappy Torque Arm adjuster stuck

I have a BMR adjustable torque arm that i'm trying to use to adjust my pinion angle. Both the lock nuts came loose no problem, but the actual adjuster wont move. i've yanked on that thing with all my might, and tried moving it in both directions to no avail.

before i give myself a hernia, it it typical for these to get stuck, and is there any advice to getting it to move besides removing the TA from the car? like can i put a jack on the rear end to take pressure off the adjuster or something?

after I installed a poly tranny mount, i decided to check my pinion angle. measuring from the drivers side, i got 84* on the rear end and 85* on the driveshaft... thats -1, right? i wanna try -2.

you're saying it bent where the adjuster is?

How long has it been on the car? It probably seized in place... try some PB Blaster and keep wrenching on it... heat would work too if that is a option for you. Once you get it out apply some anti-seize on the threads.

Hope that helps,
Ryan

Ryan, it's been on the car for 3 years. i've actually never even adjusted it at all, because it lined up to an acceptable pinion angle at initial installation.

i'll hit it with some PB blaster and see if that does the trick.

Water and other road debris tend to get into those threads and rust in there. Most likely its just seized, use a wrench with a pipe on the end and work it back and worth, see if this will break it loose.
