Default AutoZone counter packets OK for slider pins ?

I'm putting my calipers back together after powdercoat, and am just wondering if the packets of brake lube at the counter from AutoZone are good enough for lubing up caliper slider pins - or if something else is preferable... What does everyone use ?

Cheers,
Rob (Bad30th)

I skipped their packets and they sold me a small container of caliper pin lube.

Thats what they are for... any high temp lube will work though.

I got the CRC high temp synthetic brake grease in a small bucket. Came with a little brush to apply it on the pins.

Hope what you're looking at isn't the disc brake quiet because that's something different... I know those come in small ketchup packets at the auto store on the counter....

Nope, what I have isn't disc brake "quiet", it says it can be used for caliper pins :

Suggested Applications: Caliper pins, sleeves, bushings and pistons

...just wondering what everyone was using for lubing up the slider pins.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Cheers,

Oh yeah that looks fine. Since I lube mine up yearly, I got the container of the stuff. It's like CRC high temp synthetic brake grease/lubricant.

Yeah but do yourself a favor and go to the glues and sealant isle and buy 50x more than whats in those packets (one 8 to 10oz bottle) of anti seize and never have to buy it again.

That's what I was trying to say. Price per ketchup packet vs a bigger container.
