Default Noob Shock/Spring ?'s

I tried searching but didn't find definative answers to what I'm looking for.

1. When you get new shocks should you get new springs also?

2. Do you have to take off springs to change the shocks? (I seen some install page and the springs aren't by the shocks, but I thought on my the shocks are inside the spring or am I thinking wrong. I haven't looked at them for awhile and I'm not sure or not if that's how they are)

Thanks for any help.

If you want your car lowered, then new springs are needed unless you do a front lower spring perch and a hose mod on the rear.
No, you dont have to buy new springs when your change shocks. For the front of the vehicle the springs need to come off to change shocks. For the rear of the vehicle, shocks and springs are seperate, so the springs do not need to be pulled when changing shocks.

Ok I'm looking to change the rear. I should have stated that. Sorry for confusion. And also I'm not looking to lower it.

Lightbulb

Just back the car up on a set of ramps (RhinoRamps)!
You don't even need to take the wheels off!
