Default Question On AGXs

Hey guys.

I planned on putting some AGXs under my car. The stock shocks are bad, and I just cant stand them anymore. The car rides like *** and i want to do something now, plus I want to go to a mild drop, something like the Strano Springs.

I have quite a few other expenses with the Z as Im finally got tired of all the small stuff thats wrong with it, so Im fixing it all.

If all I had to do was shocks, without a doubt Id get the Konis, but right now I need to get some other stuff done also so Im looking at the AGXs cause Id like a decent handling setup thats not too expensive.

BUT recently Ive been doing some reading up on miatas, and it seems like they are having problems with AGXs wearing out quickly.

When people get them on they usually initially love them, but Ive read a whole mess of people saying after a while (sometimes just a few months) they wear out. They say they will set them up where they like them and within a few miles they loose the dampening and they have to get back under there and readjust them.

I was wanting to know if anyone is having problem with this on the F-bodies?

Why dont you just do the hose mod rear and konis on the front lower perch? Then you could buy just konis and not springs and shocks. Either way I have strano/agx and the combo is fine for me

I've run the AGX on the front only and stocks on the rear for probably 20k miles. Then I switched to a Pro-kit and AGX (used) on all 4 corners. The AGX has 12-15k on them and I've put probably 6k more. The Pro-kit was used also and they do seem to sag a bit in the rear, but are soft so they do a decent job of dropping the *** end. Now I had the setup on 7 front and 5 rear (or maybe 6). The ride was stiff and the *** end didn't squat at all. I was at the track and reset the rears to 0 and the car squatted harder, but the car still spins 2nd and sometimes 3rd depending on temps out side. I just set the fronts to 8 (full hard) and left the rears at 0 so we'll see if this helps out launching anymore, so far I've put about 50 miles on it this way and it rides the same.

Hope that helps

AGX's were out of stock briefly, but are not back in (just letting folks know). $390 a set plus shipping.

I got AGX on all 4 corners and have no complaints with them. Been about ~10,000 miles or so and seem to be holding up pretty well. Doesnt take much work to reach under and change the setting.
