Default BMR springs - to hose or not?

Anyone have some pics of BMR or Hotchkis springs with and without the rubber spacer on top of the springs?

Who's gone either route and would you do it again?

Thanks

Having the spacer is only going to help it be more quiet back there. If you remove it, you'll end up causing more noise if you don't wrap the top coil with a heater hose. Removing the spacer will also lower the rear like 1/3- 1/2 of an inch.
