Brakes

i see guys runnin 11s and lower all over the site..yet few of them ever have any brake mods on their sigs along with engine stuff..

when is there a need for brake upgrade?

I like upgraded pads and do it early in the modding. The difference a set of Hawk HPS pads will make to a stock car is impressive. The brakes are easier to modulate and have more bite. A friend went to the drag strip the day after I installed a set on his car and he had to keep "driving to the turn off" because he kept slowing down too much.

The other answer is....

"as long as they can get it stopped at the end of a run, there is no reason to upgrade".

My thoughts (buy pads!).
