Question Slack In Steering Help Me Troubleshoot ?

I have a 2000 Z-28 and ive put two new tie rod ends both sides upper control arm bushings both sides and still have slack in steering, i thought it was my rack and pinion but i had my wife wiggle the steering wheel while i laid under the car and watched and felt the rack and pinion and it doesnt move. so i dont think its the problem. you can hear a clunck when moving the steering wheel and it doesnt appear to be in the steering shaft. Please help me get to the problem because ive spent alot trying to get this fixed.

I vote the rack and pinion or the steering control intermediate shaft. Especially if it is any time you move the wheel.

Good luck finding a new intermediate shaft.
