Adjusting Strange DA coil overs?
The car is getting some new coil overs in the front, and this is my first time having coil overs and adjustability. What is a good starting point for settings? The car is weekend warrior that does get drove on the street, but its turning into a racecar very slowly. I would say it sees the street more. I know every car is different i just want to get an idea of were to start, the car has 15 inch street lites and big tires on it if that makes a difference.

The great thing about adjustable shocks is that you can set them loose for street driving and stiff for drag racing.
For the street:
Set both the extension and compression at a loose setting. Back the adjusters all the way out, then turn them 1 or 2 notches.
For the drag strip:
Set the extension based on track conditions. If you need more traction, loosen the extension so that you get quicker weight transfer. If you are lifting the front end too high at launch, then stiffen the extension to reduce weight transfer.
On my drag car, the front wheels lift 12-18 inches off the ground at launch (good fun!!!) so I set the compression at max stiffness to save my headers and trans.
