Do you have the spanner wrenches for the lower spring seat?
If so, continue.
First:
Jack the front of the car up, remove a front wheel/s, secure with a jack stand/s.
Then measure (within 1/16th")from the bottom of the spring seat jam-nut down to where the threads on the shock body ends, and write that number down.
Now, use 1 (spanner) wrench to hold the spring seat still, and the other (spanner) wrench to loosen the Spring seat jam-nut below it; only loosen the jam-nut enough to break it loose.
So now you'll want to adjust the spring seat up one half the amount you want to raise/lower your ride height, then tighten the jam-nut. *
* If your your QA1s have the thrust bearing between the spring and the spring seat; start adjusting.
* If you have no thrust bearings installed, then spray some dry lube between the seat and spring, also on the shock
threads either above/below the spring seat, depending on if you want to raise/lower the ride height.
If so, continue.
