Strano Re-valves - eibach Pro in action
I took my car up to Tennessee over the weekend and took on the famous "Tail of the Dragon." What a blast. That is absolutly the coolest road I have ever been on.
Anyways here are some pictures of the car in action and as the title says, Strano Re-Valves, Eibach Pro-Kit (not the real real low ones)
I think its looks great.
Please feel free to move this thread to the appropite of adjouring forumn.
Thanks.

Revalves were a just that, revavled fronts with different and better off the shelf valving in the rear.
The Strano spec ones are not revalved at all.. The fronts are production HD's (which now include somewhat more rebound damping than they did before which caused me to want to revalve them). I use the same rear shocks as I did in revalved in the current setup. A "strano spec" set of Bisltein's is not something you'd get other places because I'm using different, and I feel better, valved rear shocks than the production HD rears.
Bilstein's are best suited to stock springs, but can for a while, deal pretty well with mild lowering springs. It's not the optimal situation, but a very, very workable one for the first say year or two until the damper starts to just get overwhelmed by the spring rate and shorter travel.

Looks like fun! I'll have to add that one to the list once the suspension's set up. If you're over that way again, you should try out the Pig Trail in Arkansas too.
Sam, I'll be calling you sometime in the next week or two.

thats interesting Sam... for a car on DMS springs that rarely ever leaves the garage what would be better, the strano spec bils or the kyb agx's? still think I want to hold out for konis, but want to consider options. no racing, comfort with good handling. sounds like the bils might do a good job for me and last a long time with as little driving as I do. concerned about the kyb quality issues.

Depends on what you want as a result.....
If you want the car to be competent as it goes down the road but not have the best stability or control, then Bilstein's. Sort of like a big GT car
If you want the car to be able to be a little more Sports Car than GT car then AGX's. But the ride suffers with the better control settings on those.
If you want the car to be more Sports Car handling, but ride better and have the shocks last a long time then that's where the Koni's come in.
The Bilstein's are higher quality than the AGX's. However, a shock does not have to physically fail to act "worn out". It only has to have sub-par damping. Because Bilstein's aren't meant for springs as low or as stiff as what you have, you are already asking more of them than they were meant for. Basically as miles go on they get a little softer like all shocks do, but don't have the head room to get softer and still damp the springs. They are at the limit new.
