Are LT1 and LS1 control arms the same?
I can get a whole 2002 V6 K member for $120, everything.
OR can I just swap out the LT1 spindles/brakes for LS1 spindles/brakes?
I would just swap to ls1 spindles and brakes, but unless your putting a SBC or LTX motor in. I would look for a whole LS1 K member that someone wants to dump after they went with an after market K member and arms. Guess you'll have plenty of options at least at this point.

When In Doubt Do Without
Whilst you're in there, make sure of a couple of things:
1. Check your control arm bushings and ball joints and replace if necessary.
2. Make sure the spindles aren't deformed from an unknown accident. If it is indeed damaged, then all sorts of suspension issues will arise.
What I've got is a 2002 rolling chassis that I just bought. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or sell it, but at any rate it needs to be able to roll.
For some odd reason it had an unknown K Member and LT1 type spindles and brakes.
I sold the spindles and brakes.
There is a complete 2002 V6 type K Member at a local junkyard that I may buy just the spindles and hubs from since they will work, or I could buy the whole thing. Since neither K Member is correct I may just buy the spindles and hubs to get it rolling again. And later if plans change just swap to an LS1 k member.
PS a few months ago I bought the brakes and steering rack off this k member.

My vote if you're headed towards the LSx implant would be to recommend the UMI K-member. It's not cheap, but it's well made and apparently fits well on both stock and lots of modified vehicles.
