Default broken torque arm mount - replaceable?

I broke my driveshaft at the transmission yoke at the track... while disconnecting my DS from the rear, i notice that my torque arm mount has a crack in it.

is it possible that the shock in the system from the DS breaking caused my torque arm mount to fracture, or is it more likely that the TA mount broke first and this caused the DS yoke to break?

this is a BMR mild steel torque arm on a moser 12 bolt.

BMR states that they will not warranty torque arms on moser 12 bolts... so does anyone know if it is possible to replace that mount myself, or will i have to ship the TA to BMR and pay them to replace it? i really dont want to have to buy an entire new torque arm.

below is a picture. The edge of the mount is cut based on BMR's recommendation to use the 'center' mounting holes, which requires cutting to get the mount to line up on the bottom of the rear end.

Is it an adjustable or non-adjustable torque arm? If it's adjustable you should be able to unbolt the mount and get a new one...so I suspect it's non-adjustable since you're asking.

Its weird that the metal broke on the outside edges, but there is still that one area next to the hold that is still connected.

If its an adjustable arm the bracket is replaceable. It looks like the bolts worked themselves loose. Thats the only time you will have any kind of issues. Give me a call and i can give you the pricing on the bracket.

ok, i just purchased a replacement bracket from BMR... when i get this thing back together, i'm having the damn bolts tack welded to the bracket.

I checked that my mounting bolts were still at 100ft-lbs several times after installing the 12-bolt, but apparently red loctite comes apart shortly after you take it for granted that if the bolts havent come loose yet, they never will.

for the reference of anyone doing a search for this issue, the bracket attaches to the torque arm at 130 ft-lbs, per BMR's techs that the sales rep spoke with.

Thats a moser 12 bolt for ya. Good rear end, aside from how the torque arm mounts to it.
