Default What to to Launch 6sp SS?

got a 2000 SS with the mods below and went to the track todday and cant launch that thing for **** on the nittos. My best on the 100 shot was a 12.5@116 and the 60' suck how can i get out of the hole. With that MPH i think i should be around high 11s let me know what else i can do. If it helps the car is lowered and it does need new rear shocks, but i know there is more to get going besides ET streets.

Ditch the nittos and get bfg's.What are you launching at? Are you launching on the spray? You could try a Torque Arm and more gear (if you still have 3.42's). Also what are you launching at? You spinning or bogging?

IM launching between 3000-3500 and it either bogs or spins and i cant get a happy median its one or the other. I was thinking BFGs and a torque arm as you mentioned but weather is calling for some snow. So i probaly just worry about over the winter.. Yah the 342 are still in there. I have a line lock on its way im thinking a big problem is that im letting the tires get heated up enough. because i dont know if its me or the car but it dont like when i try to warm the tires it. It looses rpms and wants to die b4 i get a chance to really heat them and i have to let off break so i dont look retarded.

Yah i remmber you and Roy. I was the guy with Red SS you were talking too that day and yah the track was hooking like no other. I think the car being lowered is a big problem and in the winter im going to get a pair os subframes. We going back this sunday, maybe ill have my line lock in and see what i can do with a set of nittos really heated up....

Are you dumping the clutch or slipping it in?
