Maybe I am an asshat for answering your question. Although you did quote the answer to the question you were asking so I figure a was somewhat in order.

....because we all type stuff we don't mean.

In all seriousness; I know we aren't seeing things eye to eye because we probably are misunderstanding each other. After this post I'm just gonna let it go.

Ok guys let me clarify something that I should of when I posted the pictures of the upper isolators. The strut mounts that are anywhere from 120 to 150 each do not come with the isolators that are needed for the install. They have to be purchased separately from the mounts.

Ok I dont have a picture of the mounts themselves but I do have this pic with them attached to the shocks. The shocks on the right have the mounts on top.

And you also need these that are also part of the upper assembly.

And the last thing that is needed is the lower spring seat. It sits on top of the perch itself that the spring sits on.

Damn thats expensive crap considering what these pieces actually are. So give or take nearly 300 dollars all together for the parts. I think im just gonna re-use my original stuff since it only has 22K miles on it.

I stand corrected, my apologies to JamRWS6.

the only reason you shouldnt reuse your current ones is if the rubber on the upper strut mount where the strut goes through is corroded and you can see the metal or if the rubber on the top of the strut mount is corroded off as well... neither of these should happen under normal circumstances.

I really hope so. The car has 22K miles on it, i would be surprised.

Question

Old thread, but what is the GM part # for these? Is that the 22129944? GM's parts diagram for the shock assembly royally sucks...

TIA!

I would guess #53. Just go to the parts counter with the pic of the mounts and the diagram and tell them go find it.

Moog K6573 is a popular way to go for this part. Less than $5 + S&H on rock auto.
