GR-2 shocks worse than old oem???
I swaped out the rear springs for oem replacements when I found the springs were sagging (not ready $$ to do a correct drop and 19" tire too expensive to cam wear) and I put in some kyb GR-2 shocks but everything feels looser and bumpy. I am sick of the ride I get especially over bumps or rough road. what the hell do I do?

I said it in another thread.... 19's, that probably weigh a ton, well beyond what stock wheels and tires weigh is added unsprung weight. Unsprung weight is bad, and compression damping deals with that. You have on top of the 19's which would demand even better shocks than not, cheapy shocks and that's not helping. If you put normal wheels/tires on I'm sure the shocks would be much happier.

In situations concerning bigger OEM Vette wheels, the extra weight is usually more with the tire. 19x10 OEM C6 wheels only weigh 24 lbs. I run 305 PS2s and only gained 6 lbs over the stock 16" wheel/tire (INCLUDING the required 1.5" adapter and 5 additional lugs/lugnuts).
When it comes to wider performance tires, just going from a bald tire to a new tire, you can gain as much as 4 lbs.
Remember, going from a 16" or 17" to an 18" or 19", you loose some sidewall cushioning and start transferring more load to the 'moveable parts' next in-line AFTER the tire (shocks, springs, bushings, etc). Now you are trying to control a little more weight, weight that is now moving faster, and with less cushion on its way back down. So when performing such mods, be prepared to switch to "better than stock" (and "better than cheap aftermarket") suspension components.
