Best place to get Front Brake Calipers I was wondering where is the best place to get front brake calipers for a 1998 Camaro Z28. I heard that the C5 Corvette calipers are good. I'm not doing any autocross racing or anything like that, so I just need to get what I can depend on. The jackass I bought my car from has 2 left calipers on the front and I want to fix that problem.

New or used? You can use calipers out of any 98-02 fbody including the v6 cars, they have the same calipers. I'd find a used one and rebuild it.
The GM Part # 18042492 .If buying new at a dealer it'll probably be 200+$.
GM parts direct has it for $135.

I would hope that the people that work at those places would at least be smart enough to notice a visual difference between a C5 caliper and LS1 caliper. Especially when one set says Corvette and the other doesn't.
Pertaining to the OP, if a reman caliper can't be obtained, junk yards usually have them for a decent price. I just picked up a set for $100 for the boyfriend's Grand Prix. Came with new pads, fittings, hoses, and all.
