Default 60ft issues

ok i have recently changed my setup due to wore out parts and trying to better my 60fts and over all time ... well in this so far i have hurt my 60ft and time.... so what do u think i had a six speed with my setup before i went 1.49 60/ with a 6.51 1/8th on my best... now with th400 w brake swap my best is 1.56 with 6.80 1/8th.. my modifications include tranny swap, lca brackets and spohn 1in bar and spohn adj lca... the car on brake stalls about 4000 witch is exactly what i use to launch six speed at.... any ideas it is full weight car and makes about 600rwhp 26 x10 et drags... the rest seen in sig.. shouldnt i be in 1.40 to 1.30's?

its my opinion you made too many changes at once to point a finger a one thing or all things that have made your car leave perform diffrent

1. your pinion angle what is it set at
2. that may be to loose of a converter if it was me with a setup like yours id go a lil tighter something in the 2600 to 2800 range.... trust me nitrous will make up for the lack of converter
3. i would recomend a set of qa1's all the way around and ditch the front sway bar
4. what kind of gear in the rear a th400 does not have the low gearing that the t56 does so you are losing some torque multiplication
5. tire size
6. tell us alil more about your setup and we can get you making faster 60fts than before!

Alot of different things effect your 60'. What hole do you have your lca's in on the lower control arm brackets? An automatic car will react different than a manual car.Give me a call here at the office and we can go over your setup. I will be here today till 5:30 and friday from 10am-2pm est.

ok i have stock worn front shocks an 26/10 et drags and strange adj rears shocks ... and setup is pinion at 3degree first lca in bottom hole and had the torque arm set in 3rd hole from bottom... i hit the tire pulled the front end about 8in then felt like it unloaded came down and then took off...1.72 on motor and nitrous 1.62 60 ft... the rest of runs all nitrous... so i come back put in put the lowers in 2nd hole... 1.58 60ft.... so then i took tq arm moved it up one hole (no load on it anymore) and got 1.54 pretty consistently.... then i set pinion at 1 degree and rear shocks on 8 and im getting consecutive 1.52 60 fts...

the car has remove, ac, and ft sway bar... so probably around 3500ish it dynod 586tq@ 5000 and 601hp @ 6100

As stated above I think the converter is too high. How far off is the 1/8th mph? That should tell you its the converter if its off by a lot.

Probly the converter. Also you are ussing a 2 step on the brake, right?

The car should probly have a 4k or 4.4k Nitrous converter.

I would have figured a 3mph drop going to an auto but 8 is a lot. I'd say that pretty much eliminates your suspension. Change the converter and nothing else then make a few passes and see what happens.
