The rod in the tank is regular steel. You want to make sure the positive is on the rod because the positive lead will corrode the rod really bad. The negative will not corrode but will remove rust and paint ect.. to bare metal. Any 12v source will work, alot of people use battery chargers. I'm using a computer power supply. The water is just regular tap water with a half a cup of Arm & Hammer Washing Soda. This system produces alot of hydrogen, you can light the air bubbles on fire and the big bubbles pop like firecrackers.

haha nice use of an old computer power supply

Oh and that upper A-Arm doesn't look bad. You should see my passenger side a-arm, it was freaky how much rust it has... still stable at this point but in a way surprising. Half tempted to replace it....

yes I know people sell them, but I really don't feel like spending several hundred in replacements, I could understand buying new ball joints and I did buy all new poly bushings. I just welded up all weak areas and I'm going to coat these with an under body rubberized coating.
