Default Taking off the strut tower brace,,, better launching??

I have heard this from a few people and was curious. Have any of you guys been able to get better launches without a strut tower brace?

I'd suspect the opposite. By stiffening the body, it should help launches. Any horsepower that is not "twisting up the body" is now free to move the wheels. The car may look like it is launching better, because it twists more and looks impressive, but I'd not believe it until I saw the 60 foot times to prove it.

My thoughts....

I have never heard of an STB making a difference. Any chance they meant front anti-sway bar?

The function of an STB is to maintain the distance between the strut towers so I do not see how it could make a difference.

I'd also like to know if anyone has seen a difference by doing this and why they think it did it.

I was thinking the same guys but I am positive they meant strut tower brace. Guess I'll be putting it back on soon hehe.
