Default LG vs. SLP

Anyone know the weights of the LG SFC's + X-brace and the SLP weld in SFC's?

Any opinions on which would perform better?

Easier/harder to run duals with either of them?
Ground clearance issues with either?

thank you.

C'mon guys I know questions like this have been beaten to death but I can't get any good info through the search function. I am mostly looking for weight information here. The other questions were thrown because I figured I might as well as while I am here.

I know I want a 3pt SFC
I need to keep weight down
Ground clearance is an issue for me (due to my driveway, potholes and the massive speed humps we have in this area)
I will be putting in a 4 or 6pt cage next year
Would like to use duals over the rear axle eventually
only want to buy these once
Drag race mostly but will do some road course work next year
Cost is a factor but I will pay for a better product

thanks

I have the SLP 3-point SFCs. They are HEAVY. If you are conserned about weight, these will scare you.

Huge boxed tubing made of iron, not light. But, I wouldnt trade them for any current set of SFCs because of their pure strength.

Not the responce you wanted, but better than nothing.

I also have SLP SFCs. One other reason I prefer them over tubular 3-pts. is that you can weld the SFCs to the pinch weld for a length of over a foot. This weld spans in between the front/rear subframe attachments. Besides the front/rear subframes this is the third strongest part of the floorpan. Square tubing is also easier to use as a jack point.

It's been awhile, but I think the LG+Xbrace=very expensive? the SLP are...hmmm that was a while back so....80 gauge steel and around 40-60?pounds? Maybe I came close, memorys a little foggy.

You guys think 40-60 for the SLP's? If that's the case I don't think I can do that. I plan on adding a cage and an Iron block down the road and that would make me pretty damn heavy.

The LG's + X brace and loop are in the $430 range.Expensive yes. They have got to be lighter than 40-60 lbs.Do they work as well as the SLP's? I dunno. Do I need the SLP's if I am going with a 4 or 6pt? I don't know about that either

I'm going to look into some Spohn Chro-Moly SFC's and a 4-6pt and see what the weight comes in at.

thank you guys very much for your replies it does help.
