3rd gen Bilstein?
3rd gen Bilstein? Ok so I got these bilstein sport shocks for a third gen in today; was told they fit 4th gen plus they do say their recommended for lowered cars. Anyways I noticed the shocks are a great deal shorter than the stock decarbon shocks, and I had to lower the jack to get the top nut on, just wondering if this is normal with bilsteins and is it safe before I put the other one on.

Fella's..... You should note just because something is called "sport" doesn't make it so. In fact I find that valving inferior (and fwiw it's softer than) 3rd gen HD valving. And if the car isn't lowered then you should not be running a shorter shock as you limit your droop travel.
Can you use them? Yes. Do you have anywhere the the best choice, even just among Bilstein shocks? No.
