Cool Relocation crossmember & torque arm

I installed my new UMI relocation cross member and new BMR adjustable torque arm last week and it was all straight forward and went smooth. I do have a question about this setup; is it normal to get a little more road noise and when putting it into gear? Everything was torqued and re-torqued and the I set the pinon to -2 (DS was +4 so I adjusted it to +2) and it doesn't seem to have any vibrations. I haven't driven the too much since but it does seem to be more solid under acceleration.

Did you install a poly trans mount at the same time?

I didn't recall any additional road noise when I installed mine, but I already had installed a poly torque arm bushing and ES poly trans mount prior to installing the UMI TA relocation mount.

Hmm, maybe it's just in my head. I'll wait for others to chime in. Thanks for your input.

Its possible what you are noticing is you went from a factory rubber torque arm bushing to a poly torque arm bushing and they will be more solid than the rubber. Giving you a solid feel. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks
Brad

You will feel a little more road noise due to the urethane bushung versus the factory rubber setup. Check everything again especially your torque arm bolts. Take a look at the video on our site on the proper procedure for checking and adjusting pinion angle. If you have any questions please give me a call. Our tech dept is open till 6pm est. mon-fri.
