Default Need Some Help...... Abs and traction control problem

Have a 2000 vet and abs and traction control service light will not clear... Its throwing codes c1232 c1233 c1234 c1235 which are wheel speed circuit open or shortened and c1255 which is ebtcm internal malfunction... Im taking from the last code I need a new ebcm. Where is the best place to get the one I have rebuilt?

Watching this thread... I took mine in to the dealer with the same problem today and they said it would be $950 to fix it. I don't have the cash for that so I'd be interested in a cheaper option too.

EBCM = Electronic Brake Control Module. Its basicallly the brain of ABS.

Two cents worth

An intermittant could be as simple as a connection loose or corroded. Check the sensor wiring/connections. If they are all tight and secure I would check any location you were (playing near) opening for a bumped open connection like under the dash. Finally, I would check the location where the EBCM connection is to see if water/grease/foriegn object intruded or damaged the connections. The internal malfunction might be that location source.

Just two cents worth that might save hundreds...
