Default ! rear brakes?

ok i know this may sound retarded, but is tehre a way to disable the rear brakes?

my driver side pad came apart and in the time it took me to get it home ate the rotor, problem is i need the car and cant replace the setup for another week or so. It grinds horribly and im worried its going to **** the caliper piston.

can i cap the brake line running from front to rear and just completely disable the rear brakes until i get a new pad on? i know its not completely safe/smart, but i dont think i have any other choice

Do not drive without rear brakes.

All you will do is cause the car to nosedive under braking, which will cause instability and poor stopping.

If you were going from the driveway to the garage thats one thing, but don't drive on public roads like that.

Fix your brakes and then drive the car. Hell you can go and get a $15 set of rear pads from Advance just to get you by, anything is better than no rear brakes at all.

There's a lot of hydraulic pressure in a brake system, so the probably of a leak due to an improper block off is high. Therefore you could end up with no brakes when you need them most. Don't drive the car with faulty brakes it puts you and those around you at an unnecessary risk.
