Default A-arms bolt stuck

Trying to remove my lower a-arm today and the rear bolt won't come out. I've tried beating on it, several penetrating lubes, and even tried cutting it apart with my sawzall and it didn't make a mark (normal bi-metal blade)

I searched and the only thing i could find is someone that used a diamond tipped blade on a sawzall and cut it out.

Does anyone else have any creative ideas?

Assuming you mean the rearmost bolt, the "caster" adjustment bolt, on the front end, is the sleeve spinning in the bushing also? In other words, is the bolt frozen to the sleeve, and the whole mess turning?

If so, possibly you could get a chisel in there, and carefully wedge it between the bolt head and the frame, prying on the bolt head, and getting it loose. If that doesn't work, heat the bolt a little, and get it warm, then drip some candle wax dowm the top of the bolt, hoping it will creep down bteween the bolt and bushing, creating a "lubricant", and allow you to knock the bolt loose. (I know it sounds crazy, but I've used the hot wax trick on frozen nuts and bolts a few times...)

Default bolts

I just went through this last week--- ended up cutting the heads off and then the threads that were hanging out on the bottom and working the arm back and forth w/the help of a pry bar to get the arm out..... wasnt that bad w/the k-member outta the car. Bolts straight from GM are $29.31 for bolts and nuts- the bolt part number is: GM 10164163

You try smacking on the bottom threaded area with hammer? I did this and it drove the bolt upwards to where I could pry it out. Otherwise, yeah, torch.

Do you know if the bushing sleeve is included in that or do i have to buy the bushing as well?

I tried a diamond tipped sawzall blade last night and it worked like a charm.

Default bushing

No, the bushing isnt included....... I put new moog bushings and ball joints in while it was apart. They come as a bushing "set", meaning both the front and rear bushing and then the balljoints are available seperately. Part number for the bushings is : (got them at Car Quest- had in stock) CCH K6490. Oh, and looking through my reciepts, the part # for the nut is: GM 3537773. Hope this helps-

Thanks, i just came from the dealer. The bolts are about what i expected to pay, but the bushings are $93 a piece! I'll either get the Moog bushings or just buy aftermarket a-arms
