Default New LS1 Front pad compound available: Hawk DTC-30

I tested these, and really like them. They combine the feel and modulation of an HPS with the power of an HP+. They work well cold, but stop like a freight train when you stand on them.

I really like them, and though you guys might like to know there is a new option in town for the front LS1 calipers.

a bit pricey but i might try em out when i decide to do my front brakes. how are they in terms of noise?

also, you may want to rephrase the "stop like a freight train" part, because a freight train at full speed can take up to 18 football fields to stop

Nice I need new pads next spring. Do they come as a set or what do you recommend for rears?

Let me rephrase... they stop like you HIT a freight train. Better?

They aren't much more than a front set of HP+ are. There currently is no DTC-30 rear, there might be soon--but honestly because we don't want to overdo the rear, I'd still stay with HPS or HP+.

And on noise, the set I ran made none. They do dust, but in my case less than Pluses, and without the squealing. I think these are better than HP+ to be honest.

Sweet ...although I like my HPS pads enough that I think I've found the right pad for me. Great to know there is another option though.
