These BMR Installation Instructions show you how to remove the stock K-member:

Are you looking to install an aftermarket K-member. BMR has the lightest DOM steel K-member on the market and this is the same K-member used by drag radial racers running in the 7s. It works well for the street, drag strip, autocross, or road course.

I'm in the middle of a UMI install into my 99. I couldn't find here any advise or hints to the project. As I go along, I'm writing a guide to the install and will post it up.
I'm learning a lot of things along the way such as which way bolts face and hanging the steering rack without opening it's lines.
I'm also weighing stock componants vs. aftermarket.
The installation includes tubular upper & lower control arms, sway bar and 13 inch/4 piston brakes.
