Default First Mod... Lower the Z28

I just bought a 2002 Z28… it’s bone stock!!! First thing I want to do is lower it. There’s a lot of wheel well space, so I think 2” would look really good. I’ve never done this before, so I would appreciate any and all suggestions or advise. What about Eibach… I hear the rear springs seem to sag after a bit. I like the aggressive stance the car has now, just want to lower it.

If you are looking for a 2inch drop check out the eibach sportlines, i beleive they are roughly a 2in. drop. There are a couple of other good springs out there as well, I'm runnin the Hypercoil springs on mine that i got from lg motorsports, i got about a 1.75in. drop out of em and much improved handling along with a set of Kyb shocks. Lg Motorsports also has their own spring which is a really nice quality product as well, i beleive about the same drop as the Hypercoils. If you are looking to do the drop for just appearance you will probably be alright keeping the stock shocks/suspension componets. However i would recommend changing to a new set of shocks as well as an adjustable panhard bar to help center the rearend, as well as a set of aftermarket control arms. Lg Motorsports would be my choice for these componets, best quality IMO.

David, I'm a f--king dummy and don't know how to easily post the thread, but if you go to page 2 and click on the thread "Eibach too low?" you'll get some good info.

sportlines are too low IMO. More importantly, I think they hurt your ride rather than help it. Either way get some good shocks!

I'm running Eibach sportlines on my car and I have zero problems. I love the stance and I love the ride. As long as you don't drive stupid and take your time over bumps you'll be fine.

do you also have aftermarket shocks installed or you use the stock shocks with sportline springs.
