Long story short, I need new springs for my Heidts mustang II front suspension on my bug.

I dont know the current spring rate or uncompressed length of the current springs. When I ordered the kit many moons ago i did so over the phone and the guy suggested "medium" rate springs. I had issues installing then and ended up cutting about 2 loops off each coil. Needless to say, the car sits too low.

so, speedway motors sells stock diameter 11" springs

so, what rate should I go for? and what length?, car is a 71 vw bug, stock 5.3l, front mount turbo.
