Strano springs w/stock shocks?

Strano springs w/stock shocks? Has anyone on here ran there car like this? How was the ride and how long did it last? I want to get Koni's...but budget isnt that large! Any other options?

Yeah, get Koni's first or some other upgraded shocks. The stock shocks are poor enough as is, dont make the ride worse by using lowering springs.
If you DO get Koni's, you can also lower your ride by doing the heater hose mod in the rear and the lower perch in the front with stock springs, and that should give you around an inch or so of lowering without effecting ride quality much at all, giving you time to save up for new springs if you still want them.
It's help though if you told us what you're doing. If you just want a lowered look and don't give a crap about the ride, you'll be fine....but if you want it to ride comfortably and corner well, invest in something else first.

i have stock shock on strano srpings for 2 years now. rides like ****. thats why i ordered the SLP bilstien shocks. should get them in 2-3 weeks. hoping it makes the car handle a lot better..

I have slp bilsteins with GC coilovers (spring rates are the same as strano springs) the ride is MUCH improved over just the GC coilovers with stock shocks. The ride is firm but it has a nice tight feel, probably not as good as a car with koni's but the bilsteins are under $400 mind you.

I have Bilstein's coming into stock in a about 2 weeks (currently out as is SLP). They are $399/set. Koni's are also in stock, currently starting @ $854/set and up *shipped*.
You guys can always check the website for currently pricing. And changes will be made there as fast as I can do the typing.
Stock shocks are not very good---at all. Asking them to work with much stiffer as well as lower springs results in a pretty bad ride (as you can see from the two who have done it one of which then went to better dampers and has a direct comparison).

ive heard of the heater hose mod but whats this about the lower perch?do you have to buy koni's for this to work? sorry to hijack.
