Bent Panhard?

Bent Panhard?
Lowered 1.5"
BMR Double Adjustable Poly/Poly PHR
OEM Y2K's 275/35/18 in the rear
BFH mod.
I'm getting a rubbing sound only on right turns under no acceleration. If there's any throttle at all in gear, it does not rub. I've added 7/32" spacers and a BMR PHR, and I still get the rubbing sound. I'm almost positive it is rubbing on the LCAs. Without the spacers, there's only a thumbs width of clearance between the tires and the sides of the LCAs. The tires bear no major marks on the sidewall where they *should* be rubbing. Adding the spacers doesn't seem to change the rub at all (it doesn't come in later in the turn, or go away earlier when you straighten the steering). Anything I could be missing?

i wouldnt be surprised if u bent the phb if its stock. i drag raced probably 10 times or so and when i put in my aftermarket bar i noticed my stock phb was bent at probably a 30 degree angle about 6 inches from the rear axle mount.

Yeah, when I recommended checking out the bushings, I was under the assumption that you had an adjustable PHB (although "Stock Suspension otherwise." should have given me a clue ). If you're lowered, especially by that much, you should really invest in an adjustable PHB to recenter your rear. Bushings may correct the issue for now, but I can see that you'd be hitting your fenders on the factory PHB, ESPECIALLY with bad bushings on a car that's dropped.
UMI or BMR PHB's aren't that expensive (maybe $130-140 with a poly/rod combination that's on car adjustable) and I would think would help you at the strip and just driving down the street with the extra ridgity of the piece.

Like everyone has mentioned lowering the car that much with a large tire a adjustable PHR is a must.
It is possible that you damaged the panhard rod at the track while experiencing bad wheel hop.
Once you bend a component it's going to weaken it and only continue to bend more until the point of failure.
We do offer several different Panhard rods for all applications a link to what we have to offer can be found HERE
