I just put in front lower control arms on my '98 1LE and the stock (1LE) back bushing was ripped ay least half way through. Otherwise, only a broken sway bar D-bushing that snapped in two. 80,00 miles now.

I have a 95 firebird and I just replaced the ball joints and upper and lower control arm bushings as well. The lower bushings were torn just like the above post. The car has 101,000 miles on it. The ball joints were groaning since about 70,000 mi. I replaced the hubs last year while trying to find a bad bearing that was finally found in the rear end. Trying to do the cheapest and easiest repairs first. I replaced the struts at around 60-70k. Check for leaks and soft ride. Springs check for same ride height at each fender above the wheel on front. Just keep you eyes and ears open for the signs.
