Default Help hotchkis lowering spring

Me and a friend of mine have a 2000 and 2001 SS and we ordered Hotchkis sport suspension lowering springs and kyb GY-2 shocks. My question is the springs was the same height as the stock spring that came off the car is this normal? I thought they would be shorter to give it the drop. We installed them and the shocks and the car sits same as stock, i know they will settle a little after some miles on them but i dont see them coming down an inch and a half like the hotchkis box said. Whats wrong or will they come on down with time.

The drop usually comes from the change in the spring rate

I'm pretty sure they are only about a 1" drop. Some springs do take sometime to settle

A lot of times the factory springs are wore and the height of the car is already dropped from this. This can be some of the reason why when lowering springs are installed you see the same height results.

If you have any pictures of the cars to post we can look at the height and let you know.

Take some measurements from the front wheel well apex down to the ground, try and do this on a flat level surface for accurate measurements.
Do the same with the rear. When you done post those measurement in this thread.

My Hotchkiss dropped the car exactly 1" at all 4 corners.
I measured all 4 corners before / after.

Now, this is my second set of "Hotchkiss", the first I
bought used and got scammed, receiving some stock
appearing springs.

They are progressive, starting with a near-stock rate
so seeing a near-stock uninstalled height is not too
unreasonable.
