Default abs not working ~ help!

while installing my ball joints by mistake i tap the back cover of the wheel speed sensor. the cover popped off but it didn't look bent or damage in anyway so i just popped it back on using my hands. it looks like it's in all the way and straight. since then my abs light turns on once i go over 10 mph. is there another way of doing it? or did i break it? inside i see some gears full of grease and on the cap all i see is a magnet looking thing.
