Default Lower it more?

I have Hotckis front and rear springs with no rear isolators.
I'm thinking of lowering it more in the front and wanted your thoughts and if you know of viable options to drop it more with out buying new springs.

You could put Koni shocks on and move the fronts down to the circlip to the lower position. Then do the upper mount mod.

I might just do that.

I think Question, how bad is the ride quality you describe? The shock mount mod I understand will help bring back the travel of the suspension, thus eliminating a harsher ride.

I have no clue how bad it is. I've only heard about when people try to use the lowering springs on the lower perch and people have said they didn't like it.

I don't know too much about the shock perch mod. I'll leave this up to someone else..

Lower circlip is roughly a 1/2" lower. The upper mount mod is roughly a 1/2" more travel. Thus ride should be roughly the same. I wish someone made extended upper mounts for these cars like Ground Control does for Hondas.

The ride will be actually a little better, you end up with more suspension compression travel. The lower spring position an the Koni SA is about 3/8", and the U.M.M. can give you up to 3/4" more shock compression travel. All you really would need to do with the Koni SA's to regain the lost suspension travel is to just cut 3/8" of the upper mount center section; that's if you chose to go the Koni SA route.

Adding Koni SA fronts to only use the lower spring setting is a big waste of money. It just lowers the ride height and you can do that for free by trimming the spring.

If you have stock shocks, then it's a whole different story. Konis ride way smoother than stock shocks and also work better with lowered cars because it will better control the suspension. They also allow a bit more compression travel compared to the stockers.

What shocks do you have now?

I think your ride height looks perfect right now. I'm with JasaonWW, we need to know what shocks you have now. It's kind of an expensive route to buy koni's just lower it about 1/2". If you need new shocks anyway and would like the adjustibility then Koni's would be a good route to go. I have koni SAs and my wife thought it felt like ****, but I got new tires and adjusted the fronts a little stiffer and it feels like a Cadillac compared to what it used to.

You could have a set of front lower spring seats modified to sit the springs lower.
