Got 17" wheels, budget deal on upgraded brakes
Ive been searching this forum and even sites that i find on google. I am looking to upgrade my brakes on my 2000 T/A with 17" wheels. anybody have prices on packages such as a C5 Z06 brake kit? Any other brands? Maybe just a stock replacement Fbody brake package.
Individual prices
Calipers?
Rotors?
Pads? (read good things about hawks pads )
I found this on a 3 year old thread if the price is still the same the C5 Z06 kit sells for $685

I got ATE Rotors & Hawk HPS pads from Strano when i ordered my Koni 4/4's. Im happy with them and im still running my stock 17"s. For all the Rotors & Pads, i think i paid around $500 or less. Im happy with them.
I believe BrakeMotive on here sells rotors and pads for a nice price as well.

6LiterEater has a decently priced kit for $500 that comes with:
With this kit you will receive TWO FRONT drilled, slotted and zinc plated C5/C6 (base model) rotors and all the brackets and hardware needed to bolt them on BUT THAT IS NOT ALL...
WITH THIS KIT, you also get Braided Stainless steel brake lines. Hawk Performance Brake pads. A 1 Liter can of ATE Super Blue brake fluid.!!!

Read a thread here not to long ago where you can use cts-v calipers and rotors on 4th gen fbodies. I think you need like 18 inch wheels though, those things are massive. I think they are 4 piston calipers made by brembo, all for around $800 or so from a dealer. I wouldnt mind oding these, but I got another project that I would like to finish.

Size for size blanks stop better, and don't have the cracking problem's drilled rotors are known for (especially the cheap ones).
