Compared to a street tire, definitely, but if your want the best traction-wise (or at least what has worked best for me personally) run the Mickey Thompson ET Street radials. If you drive your car a lot or drive it at all in the rain, stick with the Nittos. The Nittos have a higher treadwear rating and superior water channeling.

I'm from your way man and haven't had any issues hooking when I was a bolt on car. I was running the E.T. streets though. You can't beat a good suspension setup for the street though man but at your power level I wouldn't think it is needed. If you really wana hook on the street I would save my dough and send the car to Madman. He can tell you what you need, install it all and set it up. He will have your car leaving hard as hell on peanut butter if you want. I have a brand new set of adjustable rear LCA's and pan hard rod. Hit me up if you are interested. I will cut you a good deal for them.

Agreed.. I also have an extra set of wheels to man that will fit your car. Run street tires for daily driving and when you got out to the east to race you can throw on your E.T. streets.

I used to flash my vig 3600 on the street w/ 315/35/17 555Rs... given I only had a tune, converter, built trans, 3.73s, offroad y, some ported 02 manifolds(don't laugh I was in highschool LOL) and the nittos... it would chirp the tires a little on the street and that was it. She ran a best of a 12.31 @ the track and some 12.4s all day everyday. but it wouldnt hook very good @ all on a 100 shot, when sprayed almost out of the gate.

I came across this thread by accident and started reading and cant believe that no one has mentioned this yet.Suspension,tires,driver,etc...all play a part. But with high horsepower cars that race on the street the real secret is BALLAST! Thats all i have to say.
