Default Rear End Question?

I have a 98 Z28 automatic.. completely bone stock.
Need a complete rear end but dnt know if i can change it to any other year on my 98 I have trac Control on mine...

All of the rears from 93-02 are interchangeable. '98 and newer have the better brakes. If you have a couple grand you can get a brand new 12 bolt from Strange or Moser but if you are simply looking for an OE replacement, look for a manual trans rear end. They have 3.42 gears
