Question on lowering the vette
Question on lowering the vette I have a C5 Z that was lowered on stock boltsand had an alignment done. Since then I have swaped out wheels and tires and now due to a shorter tire (325 vs. 305) I have a little bit of a larger gap between the wheelwell and the top of the tire. I am going to lower it a half inch (i may shave bushing which is popular to do on the C5) to get the stance I want FOR THE REAR ONLY.
Is it necessary to get another alignment if I am going another half inch in the rear? I just need to know if its going to make enough of a difference to eat the **** out of my tires.

Yes, it will most likely need to be re-aligned. Secondly, you have to maintain a 1" difference in OD between the front and rear tires (rear bigger) otherwise the traction control won't be happy, and lastly, the car needs to be raked slightly (front end lower than rear) in order for the car to be aerodynamically happy....
