Default Quick Bilstein SLP question

Picture doesn't show a lower spring perch. Is that picture just a reference one and not the ones that work on our cars?

AFIK, lower spring perch is a Koni shock thing. Anyway, it is NOT part of the SLP Bilstein setup on my car- the height of the spring used will determine the stance.

Let me rephrase that.Where the bottom of the shock sits, does that whole assembly slide off when the spring is removed to use on the new shocks?

The spring perch slides off and is reused on the new shock. There is a ridge on the shock body that allows you to lower the spring perch over the new shock and the spring perch rests on the ridge. No option of a second ridge on bilsteins. Hope that answers your question!

Yes.Thank you. I was just trying to figure out where the bottom was going to rest.Just doing the heater hose mod so the SLP should be ok.

Time to write Bilstein to start offering a lower spring perch/ridge on their shocks too! ;-)

You have to re-use the stock perches, dustcover, and bumpstop with the bilsteins, or else get new ones.
