Default rear control arms and relocation brackets - ok to have play?

i moved to tubular rear control arms from boxed and there is now about 1/8 to 1/4 inch of space the control arms could move side to side between the walls of the bracket. Is this ok or should I be filling the gap with some large washers so everything is nice and snug?

There shouldn't be any lateral play between the mounting tabs and the control arm. Are they poly or rod-ends? If they're rod ends, you either didn't install or didn't get the spacers that go between the mounting tabs and the rod end itself, more than likely.

Interesting...where's the gap at, on the reloc brackets or the chassis?

There should be a metal tube/spacer you run the bolt and control arm through. Generally the torque needed on that nut and bolt is enough to close the bracket from what I've seen.
