Question SLP line lock busted..

So has anyone else had their SLP line lock Crap out on them? Mine lasted maybe a year and I didn't even use it that much. I called SLP asked for a rebuild kit and they don't offer one. I know hurst does and most others also do... so I found this odd. They were more than willing to sale me the whole kit again but why would I even bother if the one I have doesn't work..

One thing I hate about this kit is the wiring directions and the switch they send with it isn't NHRA approved!

What part actually failed? I assume SLP's warranty is just 90 days:

I had a problem with mine...I believe it was SLP as well. Mine would activate when I hit the brakes (at a stop light only) randomly-not cool! I was parking one day and it did it again, I pulled the wires and then the whole unit that night.

It's the solenoid it's self. The solenoid clicks and all but it won't hold the brakes. From time to time it will actually keep the front brakes from working properly so I have to let off the pedal then reapply and they work fine for a while..

Question

Doesn't anyone sell a matching replacement solenoid like say Grainger?

I've been thinking about using their kit. I told SLP I would just save my $90 and buy a better kit that is rebuildable like most other companies have.

Might want to post a pic of the solenoid -- maybe there are some part identifying features/part # -- could be a standard part...

I will once I pull it off. I'm trading parts to a friend and he ordered me the SJM kit.

Mine on my ford mustang did the same thing I parked the car and got back from shopping and it would not move from the parking lot the front brakes were locked up.
It is not an installation error like you said. I have installed other linelocks like the hurst and never had a problem with it.
