Question Spohn or G2 Swaybars

I'm considering the Spohn 32mm/22mm Chromemoly swaybars, but I'm curious about the G2 32.5mm/21.5mm swaybars. I'm curious if the G2's are worth the extra 40ish bucks or if I should go with the Spohn. I don't AutoX or go to the drag strip or anything, so I don't really want anything extreme.

I'm leaning toward Spohn because of the cost and because I've heard good things about Spohn products. But are the G2's worth getting?

Any help would be appreciated.

I have G2 sway bars on my car and like them a lot. Once I get some stiffer springs on the car I may go bigger. But in your case since your not looking for anything too "extreme" and you dont AutoX or go to the strip. Im sure you will be more than happy with the spohn's. I havent used spohn bars but im sure there is a slight difference between them and the G2's since the G2 front bar is hollow and the Spohn is solid I think.

1LE sway bars might do you very well, based upon that statement.

But you never be disappointed with a G2 product. Very seldom do you see a G2 product for resale. Ever wonder why?

I have the G2's, but you only get the front endlinks in poly and no rears. You also get rubber bushings and not poly's. The extra .5 mm is only powder coating as well. Get the 1Le's and you are essentially getting the same product, but for less. Like I said I have the G2's, but I am not complaining about that.

An unsubstantiated internet rumor

No autoX means you can keep the rear stock
and be prefectly fine, if not better.
I got my ST35 front delivered today.
$139 for a highly recommended sway is
dirt cheap. I did a lot of reseach and it
was a no brainer. I didn't mind the 10 extra
lbs since like you I'm just a street guy.
If you decide to add the rear the ST35 and rear 1LE
is a popular combination amongst autoX'ers.

Just another option.

It wasn't until I went with 315s up front and adjustable lower As to get -1.5* camber that I saw any benefits from that big bar.

I actually saw a lot more front tire wear ...

From the responses I got from the regarded
experts the st35 is not overkill for a street car
and will not increase tire wear when PSI is 30-32

So mitch are you attributing the increased wear
to the wider tire.

When I ran 275s, -0.8* camber and the big bar, the car had a really bad push. I went back to the 1LE front bar and it helped the push.

Now I run 315s, -1.3* camber and the big bar and all is wonderful

So sounds like its more of the your chosen alignment
setup in conjunction with the bar. I don't plan on
messing around with all that, at most I'll drop to 0 to +.5
negative chamber and thats only after I run it with
the factory align specs.

Like I said before the ST35 is fine for a street car with street
specs. That's what I've been told by so many people and
hopefully I'll tell you the same this or next week.

Mitch know your on the handling posts alot and I don't
want to sound like I don't respect your opinion. I think
your just in the a very small minority about the "big bar".
The only true complaint is the extra pounds.

You bring up a VERY good point ...

"Handling" is not as much about the right parts or the right settings, it's about driving style and driver comfort.

If you got into my car and took it for a hot lap, it might push like a pig or you might loop at the first apex. Who knows?

I know I don't always follow this rule, but I really do try to voice just MY opinion on people's questions, not necessarily coerce them into a specific purchase or set up.

What works for me might be **** for you. And what works for you, would boil the tires off my car.
