Exclamation UMI lowering front lower A-arms

Just an FYI, UMI will be coming out with a lowering front lower A-arms for the 93-02 camaro/bird!

"Hopefully early next year", is what I was told.

BTW, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Yes I already knew, but it's good to know you'll have options.

At this time we are not sure if we are going to move forward with this project or not. Once we approach our slower time of the year we will revisit it.

Thanks!

It's too bad that no one seems to make these parts with rubber bushings for us who daily drive our cars... I'd love to have some lowering A-arms but not if it means dealing with polyurethane and rod ends.

I think your location might have something to do with that. Drive the car through a freezing Virginia winter and you might get some noise out of those rod ends.

If you ran poly in the front and a roto-joint or JJ in the rear mount you'd be good then.

I have had rod ends for several years too, and I live in PA with similar weather and roads to Virginia. They are whisper quiet, unless your turning, backing up, or moving forward. The best thing to do is drive on rough pavement, to cover up how jarring they are on smooth roads.

They make up for their poor ride quality, by being high maintenance and needing replacement when used in poor weather, and exposed to road grime.

Yes, back from the dead! I just had to do it!
I just felt like UMI's answer was, well....vague, and still left some questions unanswered.
I just wanted to know if there's still a possibility this might happen, a simple no answer would be fine, but if the answer is yes then please give us some details UMI.

Thanks for your time UMI!

We do plan on finishing these... however with the busy season here and racing season it won't be anytime in the next few months.

Thanks for checking!

Good to hear you haven't totally ditched the plan on making these.
So, ....I guess I'll tap UMI on the shoulder again in about 3 months for another update.

Thanks for the reply, UMI.
