Default Question on F-Body E-Brake cable brackets

I've recently put welded in LCA brackets on my 12-Bolt rear. When you use them one side of the emergency brake bracket needs to be cut off to fit them over the LCA relocation brackets. I need to know if the positioning of the emergency brake cable bracket is critical? I've noticed the bolt holes in them are slotted for adjustment. Does this in any way effect how the emergency brake works or is is just this way for variances during manufacturing?

Nope, slots don't make a ****. Just hack the one side off and bolt it up and roll
