Default caliper piston woes

So i'm breaking down a set of spare calipers to be powdercoated and i have some problems. I had to use a giant pair of pliers, a table vice, and lots of muscle to pull the pistons out of the calipers (using air pressure didnt work). On the fronts it wasnt a problem, the steel pistons came out without any damage; however, the aluminum pistons on the rear (didn't know they were aluminim at the time) got scored and gouged by the pliers. Question is, where can I find new ones or can I just file down the edges and use the pistons as is? Rockauto, oreilys, autozone, napa <--- none of them carry this part. What do you guys think?

go to a junk yard, or look one up online. It's very unlikely anyone would sell you just the piston.

Get a new caliper. Better safe than sorry.
