listen to sam he sold one to my father in law for his t/a and driving his 02 to my 00 one with a watts link to one with a pan hard bar is night and day but if you order one make sure you talk to the right people. you will sometimes run into rear swaybar fitment with with a watts link. but it is the best feeling and tightness in the rear. if you are planning to push your car to its limits watts link is the way to go!!!!

when are you going to do a group purchase
for the MWC 9" and watts link?

I ask Eric.

The watts link setup is 525.00 plus freight with the purchase of a rearend. If your rearend currently has a backbrace on it then you will have to weld on the mount tubes that attach to the housing. the rest of it is bolt-on to the car. the Watts are built to order but we can ship one out in a matter of a a few days.

thanks liberty, looks like it leaves plenty of room for true duals.

So I emailed Jim Fay of Fays2 Suspension to see if the Kooks true 3" duals exhaust works with his Watt's Link, but he said: "I can't be sure. Sam Strano would know better than me."

Sam, any insight here? ;-)

Here's my car:

FYI, the Kooks TD's requires the use of a PHB relocation kit to fit, so that's a sign it probably won't fit without fitment issues. The Fays2 does have a little more room, but most of that is in width, not height.

Thanks for the pic -- that helps. If you get a chance, see if you can do a little measurement in that area where the pipes would pass through for a swag-fit...

You're right about the PHB Relo-kit -- Kooks should work with Fays2/Strano and engineer a Watts Link solution too, if it won't work as-is. The Kooks true-duals is pretty tempting...

I can't say.... the fact is there is room for 1 3" pipe over it, but it's tight on the downturn side... width wise there is plenty of room. So it's just a matter of how the Kooks is bent to run downhill. The Watts link frame does sit about 1" further back at that location (under the pipe) than the stock PHB brace.

I phoned Kooks, and their test fit car Trans Am was apparently that of their Production Manager -- I have a vmail into him to ask about a Fays2 Watts Link solution. Since it is Kooks Custom Headers, I have to imagine they can create a solution if possible without having to modify the Watt's Link itself... It looks like they have only tested with the PHB relocation kit from BMR thus far, since that was what was on the test car...

Nice -- can you fit a pair of 3 in. tubes through there? Got some spare cardboard tubes laying around? ;-) May not be exactly like Kooks layout, but it would be a guide...

If your just driving around on the street (not doing any racing) and you have to have the Kooks TD's... just stick with a PHB
