Default Suspension kits

I saw a long time ago name brand kits that came with sway bars, shocks, springs, frond end bushings kit, panhard bar, trailing arms and some other stuff for 1500$. Just looking for something like that. Any info welcome

Strano offers kits that include shocks, sways, and springs, adding the other stuff isn't all that hard and you could probably get a setup from him (including what you mentioned) for $1500 or so.

For instance, SLP Bilstein shocks, his 35/22 sway bars, and his springs falls around $1k (if I remember right), adding a PHB, bushings, and LCA's (depending on what ones you pick) could bring the total up to around $1300-1400. Just an option

EDIT: Option for the Koni's (better) it would be more like $1700-1800, but would probably be worth it.

You don't need all that stuff just because you are lowering the car.... Also you have to look at the parts contained within the kit. A kit with crappy shocks isn't a very good setup (for example).

Prices vary depending on what parts you get. I have shock/spring kits on my website... and we can add LCA's, LCA brakets, etc., etc. to them as required.

No I don't want to lower the car my exhaust hangs low enough. I know what your saying Sam I'm not gonna buy junk shocks or any parts for that matter. I'm just looking for the cheapest but still a great product that I can buy in bulk instead of piece by piece. What about Lakewood?

What do you want from your car? If you're not looking to lower your car, you don't need to buy new springs.

I just want a smoother ride, better handling, and more stability on my rear. I just figured stock springs were something that eventually wear out even at 80,xxxmiles

Then if you want something like that, you could get that with out springs but to get the most out of it, then you would need to lower it a little cause of the center of gravity crap. And you can always have the exhaust tucked up closer to the under side of the car. Just take it to a better exhaust shop cause if half the guys on here can run lower than me and not scrub there exhaust, then I think anyone else can to. But my $0.02 would be to go to Sam Strano.

^^^ As mentioned, there are ways of getting exhaust setups to work with a lowered car in a lot of cases.

However, if you simply don't need to lower, stock springs actually work pretty well with good shocks, and they're not really a wear item (fine for WAY more than 80k miles). A set of Bilstein or Koni shocks make a huge difference when paired with stock springs (ask me how I know ). Along with shocks, you can add things like swaybars or even a Watts link (if you want to control the rear better), and there are more parts that can help with your goals as well. As mentioned, give Sam a call!

Stock springs get a bum rap.... If they were bad, they'd be sagging--they probably aren't as they are pretty tough. The ride quality, handling, and stability all go to hell with poor damping. A good set of shocks is the BEST thing you can do.... Sure you can throw other parts at it too, but shocks are the place to start for what you want to change.

I'd be happy to discuss other parts with you if you like, you might want the changes some give you, but again based on your statement above -- it's a classic worn out shock scenario first and foremost.

Based on what the OP stated, a drag setup should be avoided. The don't really improve stability or handling, and more often than not actually hurt it.

As already mentioned above, just keep your OE springs if you don't want the car any lower. A good set of shocks and sway bars will improve your handling tremendously and works well with the OE springs. If handling is your prime concern and traction is not really an issue, keep your OE control arms and just replace your PHR. You can get a full set of Konis, front and rear tubular sway bars, and an adjustable PHR for just under your dollar amount and your car will feel night and day different...

If interested in these items, the links below will make it easy to check them out:

Following the site you can also get the 3rd gen rears (not infinitely adjustable and valved slightly differently) for $100 less. Add in an adjustable PHB to recenter the rear and you should be good to go.

A search will also net you the same result

The link above is for the HP5 set, and Formula again is on the money with the fast I also offer the HP4 kit which is $100 less with the "4/3" rear shocks in it.

I've got all kinds of adjustable PHB's too, I don't include them in the kits because many folks already have them. And while recommended, I don't consider them 100% necessary especially on cars that aren't slammed (my springs don't) and not on bigger than stock wheels/tires, etc.

You can use the heater hose mod (it's a sticky in this section) to just drop the back about .5"
